Pacific island nations, including The Republic of the Marshall Islands, are some of the most vulnerable places in the world to the impact of natural disasters. The country is threatened further by the effects of climate change.
Humanity First – Republic of Marshall Islands actively pursues projects to support local communities in education, youth programming, and healthcare.
HFUSA has invested in medical missions and support to RMI. Capacity for medical care on the islands is limited. Physicians from the U.S. treat patients for screenings and minor surgeries such as cataract surgeries.
HF-RMI and HFUSA collaborated to provide solar electricity to a village in a pilot project that supports disaster preparedness as well as daily needs.
