On a radiant spring morning, five passionate cyclists—Hamza, Majeed, Zafir, Daoud, and Sarmad—from Maryland laced up their shoes, fastened their helmets, and embarked on a meaningful journey. Their mission? A shared love of biking combined with a higher purpose: to ride 45 miles to Chantilly, Virginia, in support of Humanity First USA’s Telethon and Awareness Day on May 10th.

With hearts full of purpose and legs primed for the challenge, the group donned vibrant Humanity First cycling jerseys that stood out brilliantly against the backdrop of clear blue skies and blossoming trees. Their route was as inspiring as their mission—beginning along the scenic Anacostia River Trail, weaving through the heart of Washington, D.C., and continuing onto the historic Washington & Old Dominion Trail. From there, they merged onto the Fairfax County Parkway, pressing on with unwavering determination and unity.

This was more than just a ride—it was a powerful statement. The cyclists had launched a fundraising campaign and a dedicated webpage for Humanity First USA, rallying support from friends, family, and the broader community. With each mile they pedaled, they raised not only awareness but also vital donations to support humanitarian efforts.

As they neared the Humanity First USA headquarters in Chantilly, the cyclists were met with warmth and admiration. Their arrival was welcomed by Munum Naeem, Chairman of Humanity First USA, and Mukhtar Malhi, National General Secretary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, a foundational HFUSA partner. Their faces lit up with gratitude and pride, having completed a journey that was both physically challenging and deeply meaningful.
