Hurricane Fiona

Hurricane Fiona’s high winds and torrential rain caused a blackout on the entire island of Puerto Rico and left a third of the population without drinking water. And in the Dominican Republic, over a million people were left without drinking water.

Our Impact

Humanity First USA provided assistance in both areas. In Puerto Rico, HFUSA collaborated with local organizations to distribute food and supplies to 1,000 families. And in the Dominican Republic, HFUSA volunteers delivered food, water, and supplies to more than 1,000 families, distributed 800 care packs, and purchased building supplies to restore a school and several homes.
