Moore Tornado
In May 2013, a tornado with winds of up 210 mph hit Moore, Oklahoma, killing 24 people, including seven children. The tornado was rated as EF5, the highest category on the Enhanced Fujita (EF) scale.
Our Impact
Over 59 Humanity First USA volunteers came from as far as Canada to help with demolition and cleanup of people’s damaged homes. We worked directly with agencies from the City of Moore to distribute supplies and aid over three weeks.
