“Employees at our Peachtree Corners location really enjoyed helping out, collecting, and contributing school supplies to the Duluth Food Pantry. We know that getting kids ready to go back to school can often feel like a team effort. Many of us who are parents or guardians know that it’s not easy to gather all of the year’s necessities – and it can quickly add up!”

~Ramisa Ahmed, ELDP Intern from Kennesaw State University who led the volunteer team and supply drive, shared this statement from her team.

This month, kids and families at the Duluth Food Pantry selected from backpacks, notebooks, pencils, stickers, and more. The donated supplies came from generous local supporters, our pantry volunteers, the Gwinnett County Police Department, and employees of Siemens in Atlanta.

A special thank you to Siemens! Employees from the Siemens Engineering Leadership Development Program (ELDP) reached out to volunteer at the pantry this summer. Inspired by their experience, they held a school supplies drive at the company. They delivered boxes of supplies and then returned a week later with more. We had just given away all the previous supplies, and their donation allows us to continue into next week!
