Beating hunger so that every stomach is full.

Caring for Humanity for a quarter of a century

Impact

Over 44 million people in the United States–including 13 million children–experience hunger and food insecurity.

To beat hunger, Humanity First currently runs eight food pantries and soup kitchens across the country, organizes food drives, and partners with other organizations who are also fighting to eradicate hunger. And when natural disasters happen, we provide emergency food and water supplies. In other words, Humanity First is on the front lines, delivering millions of meals to the hungry.

Food Pantries & Distribution

Humanity First USA serves thousands of families each year with the food they need to stay fed and healthy, especially when times are tough. At our sites, people can drive through for a contactless pickup. And when they can’t come to the site, our volunteers deliver the food to them. HFUSA teams in each of our areas provide a consistent source of nutritional support through food staples or warm meals. Nationwide, nearly 1,000 generous volunteers pitch in so that their neighbors have enough to eat each year.

How We Work

USA Food Pantries

Families count on food staples from HFUSA pantries and food delivery services to stretch their limited dollars. With the help of partners and local community drives, we also provide fresh produce, personal care products, and back to school supplies.

Fast2Feed

Each year in the month of Ramadan, when Muslims fast during the daylight hours, HFUSA raises awareness of the pain of hunger felt by too many Americans, and provides ways for our supporters to donate at least the value of one meal to fill hungry stomachs.

Qurbani Service

Humanity First USA helps to facilitate the Qurbani (Animal Sacrifice) Service before Eid Ul Adha. Eating beef or lamb for this holiday is culturally significant and nutritionally important. For Muslims, Qurbani is also a way to use part of their wealth to feed people who cannot afford a substantial meal for the holiday.
