Maui Fires

Intense wildfires killed 100 people and destroyed more than 2,000 homes on the island of Maui. The town of Laihana sustained the most damage.

Humanity First USA supported 300  displaced families and offered victims health and legal services. Working with Maui county council members and local organizations, HF’s Doctors4Humanity set up a medical clinic, treating over 100 patients. Lawyers offered pro bono services, and The Education Project set up a hybrid tutoring program for dozens of students while school was closed.
